Resumo

Discorre sobre a aplicação da biblioterapia em crianças enfermas, a importância da leitura na busca da prevenção e educação, bem como sua função terapêutica. Apresenta um relato das atividades de biblioterapia desenvolvidas na ala pediátrica do Hospital Universitário em Florianópolis - SC. Analisa o comportamento das crianças hospitalizadas frente à prática da leitura com metodologias dinâmicas. Com base nestas atividades pôde-se perceber que a biblioterapia aplicada a crianças enfermas alivia suas tensões, angústias e medos, desenvolve a imaginação, favorece a introspecção, a
catarse e ajuda no crescimento emocional e psicológico. Conclui que a biblioterapia é uma ferramenta para a semiologia e a terapêutica, favorecendo a humanização das mesmas e ajudando na recuperação das crianças.

Abstract:
The text talks about the application of the bibliotherapy in sick children, the importance of the reading in the search of the prevention and education, as well as her therapeutic function. It presents a report of the bibliotherapy activities developed in the pediatric line of the University Hospital in Florianópolis - SC. It analyzes the children's hospitalized front behavior the practice of the reading with dynamic methodologies. With base in these activities could be noticed that the applied bibliotherapy to sick children relieves their tensions, anguishes and fears, it develops the imagination, and it favors the introspection, the catharsis and help in the emotional and psychological growth. Conclude that the bibliotherapy is a tool for the semiology and the therapeutics, favoring the humanization of the same ones and helping in the children's recovery.
