Resumo
Abstract: Research carried in 2005 out with the aim of verifying how happened the formation process for lecturing performed by the information professionals acting in the school libraries, of elementary schools of the public and private system of Florianópolis municipal district. The research seeks to know their current reading habits and its influence on the constitution process of new readers. One of the presupposed facts in this research is that good readers are capable of influencing positively in the formation of new readers, so, it sought to verify to what extent it occurs effectively in the schools quotidian.
