Resumo

Resumo:A Biblioteca Louis Braille, situada no Instituto Benjamin Constant, Centro de Referência Nacional na área da deficiência visual, conta com o serviço de Ledores Voluntários, até hoje um dos grandes dinamizadores de informação dentro da Biblioteca. Disponibiliza materiais especializados e tecnologia assistiva por meio de softwares com sintetizadores de voz que possibilitam a leitura imediata da tela do computador, assegurando ao deficiente visual acessibilidade e inclusão, visando sua eqüidade social. Esta tecnologia caracteriza-se por ser mais amigável e confortável no campo da comunicação, diminuindo inúmeras barreiras. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar os serviços e materiais que estão à disposição da comunidade em geral e dos deficientes visuais em particular, e mais, compreender o que significa acessibilidade digital para o indivíduo deficiente visual. Mostrar o quanto é possível e necessário oferecer a esse público a independência, de forma que o deficiente possa ir, vir, possuir, sentir, falar e pensar, facilitando seu relacionamento no meio social. Os materiais, equipamentos e serviços visam, primordialmente, atender e satisfazer aquele que utiliza a Biblioteca Louis Braille e estão disponíveis e acessíveis a qualquer pessoa que se interesse em conhecer o Instituto Benjamin Constant. O trabalho realizado pela Biblioteca Louis Braille visa fomentar a prática da leitura por parte do deficiente visual. AbstractThe Library Louis Braille, situated in the Institute Benjamin Constant, Center of National Reference in the area of the visual deficiency, counts on the service of Ledores Voluntary, until today one of the great dinamizadores of information inside of the Library, specialized materials and assistiva technology by means of softwares with synthesizers of voice that make possible the immediate reading of the screen of the computer, assuring to the deficient appearance accessibility and inclusion, aiming at its social fairness. This technology is characterized for to be friendlier and comfortable in the field of the communication, having diminished innumerable barriers. The objective of this work is to more present the material services and that are to the disposal of the community in general and the deficient appearances in particular, and, to understand what it means digital accessibility for the visual deficient individual. To show how much it is possible and necessary to offer to this public independence, of form that the deficient one can go, come, possess, feel, speak and think, facilitating its relationship in the social environment. The materials, equipment and services aim at, primordially, to take care of and to satisfy that one that uses the Library Louis Braille and is available and accessible to any person who if interest in knowing the Institute Benjamin Constant. The work carried through for the Library Louis Braille aims at to foment the practical one of the reading on the part of the deficient appearance.
